Welcome to Magdalena Bournot, post-doctoral fellow on the GATES project
Magdalena Bournot has been selected as part of the "International Excellence in the Humanities Fellowships" programme of the GATES (Grenoble ATtractiveness and ExcellenceS) project.
A post-doctoral fellow at the MaCI and attached to Litt&Arts since October 2023, she is studying the classical reception in Abdias do Nascimento and the Teatro Experimental do Negro.
Doctoral students from Litt&Arts are the winners of the first call for applications launched as part of the Gates project!
Amandine Chlad, Philippos Karaferias and Anaïs Tillier are among the six candidates selected to undertake a research visit to Oxford in the autumn.
The aim of this scheme is to encourage and support outgoing mobility for doctoral students for stays of between two weeks and two months as part of their doctoral research in the humanities and social sciences.

Aristophanes after Babel: Plutus in Translation from the Early Modern Period to the Present Day
The aim of this conference (in English) is to examine the reception of ancient Greek drama in translation practices and theories from the early modern period forward. It is the fifth event in a series spanning the translation of ancient Greek drama in the early modern period. The series is the result of a collaboration between the Université Grenoble Alpes, Oxford, Paris XIII, and UCL.
